What is POP3?

Step 1: — Setup POP3 Account
After creating a POP3 account, you need to setup a POP3 account or Microsoft outlook account. you can set up, if you have an account. Because you cannot proceed without setting up an account.
Step 2: — Move the mail documents
After setting up the POP3 account in the user’s account, download the necessary emails in the IMAP Inbox folder and delete those which are not useful. One thing must be noted that in the protocol that is in POP3, you can only download messages from the document, apart from this you will not be able to download any additional content.
To transfer data to a POP3 mailbox, select the required messages or folders and either use the copy paste option or transfer with the drag and drop option. Apart from this, you can right-click on the mouse and select.

Users can remove the content in a POP3 account so that messages can be systematically placed on the system. The status of the messages in the account you created will also remain unchanged. This will protect you from duplicate messages.

Step 3. Remove your current IMAP account
Follow the procedure given below to remit IMAP account:
  • First, open the POP3 account mailbox.
  • Go to choice Account Settings option. You will get a lot of messages here.
  • Now you have to uninstall your account from IMAP.
  • In this case, make sure that the PST file of your POP3 account should be the default, which you have extracted from the IMAP account.
  • Select the POP3 Mailbox Store option to store the PST file.
  • Now you will see “Set as Default” option, click on it.
In the case of Outlook 2013, Outlook 2010 needs to be restarted while the system does not need to be done in Outlook 2013, so you should switch the IMAP to POP3 account in the default mailbox. When your system is open again, then delete the IMAP account.
